TRAUMA - THE GOLDEN HOUR

CASE #1:  UPPER LEFT CENTRAL INCISOR  WAS PARTIALLY KNOCKED LOOSE WHILE WALKING THE DOG.  UPPER RIGHT CENTRAL INCISOR WAS REPOSITIONED IN ITS ORIGINAL POSITION AND HELD IN PLACE WITH A WIRE SPLINT FOR 8 WEEKS.  THE KEY IS TO GET TREATMENT WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR OF TRAUMA!  IF A TOOTH IS COMPLETELY KNOCKED OUT, EITHER PLACE IT IN MILK OR KEEP IN THE PATIENT’S MOUTH FOR TRANSPORT AND SEEK TREATMENT FROM A DENTIST ASAP.

CASE #2:  UPPER ANTERIORS WERE TRAUMATIZED FOR AN ELECTRICAL ACCIDENT WHERE PATIENT FELL AND BROKE THE FRONT TEETH.  2 IMPLANT WERE PLACED AND 4 PORCELAIN FUSED TO METAL CROWNS WERE MADE FOR THE 4 MIDDLE TEETH.
